A Traditional Scandinavian Spirit

You haven’t had a Bloody Mary until you’ve had a bloody with Aquavit. “The Water of Life”, as it’s translated to, is renowned for its sweet black licorice flavor. Ours rounds out the experience with a flavorful dill finish. It’s a Nordic journey in every sip.

TASTING NOTES:

  • Nose: Briny, Dill, Caraway, Black Pepper

  • Palate: Black Licorice, Spicy, Woody, Light Citrus

  • Finish: Rounded, Slight Tannic, Medium Finish

INGREDIENTS:

Rye Base Spirit, Caraway, Dill, Anise, Coriander, Juniper, Angelica, Fennel, Peppercorn, Lemon

COCKTAIL RECIPES

  • Ironton Bloody

    Add 2 oz of Aquavit, 4 oz of tomato juice or Bloody Mary mix, .5 oz lemon juice, and a dash of Worchestershire sauce to a glass filled with ice. Stir and garnish as you wish!

  • Swedish Mai Tai

    Add 1 oz Aquavit, 1 oz Platinum Rum, .5 oz Orange Liqueur, .5 oz Orgeat, and 1 oz Lime Juice to a shaker filled with ice. Shake until cold then strain into a large glass filled with ice. Add 3-4 dashes of Cherry Basil Bitters to the top of the glass and garnish with a lime.
