Comedian Bios:
Sam Ellefson (Your Host!)
Sam, now based in Denver, is originally from a suburb of a suburb in Minnesota. His small - town naivety and "Minnesota Nice" attitude collides with this not-always-so-nice world to create whimsically hilarious stories and observations that will have you rolling in your seat. Sam started his comedy career in the Pacific Northwest with a parody late-night talk show in college that earned him 2 Northwest Emmy nominations. Since then, he has been a finalist in both the Oregon Comedy Competition and the Denver Rise Comedy Competition. He also regularly performs at comedy festivals and comedy clubs across the country. His recent web series "Gospel of Sam" was shown at film festivals all over the US and won "Best Web Series" at the Oregon Short Film Festival. He can recently be seen in a Denver Broncos commercial as well, but only if you watch very closely because his dog, a mini aussie named Oatmeal, stole all the screen time.
Erin Rose
Erin Rose is based in Denver and can be seen spreading her positivity and anxious energy throughout Colorado. She tackles topics such as break-ups, people-pleasing, and being a young professional who clearly wrote this bio during work hours. Erin currently runs a show every last Friday of the month called Lagers & Laughs at Bierstadt Lagerhaus.
Roxey Grant
Hi my name is Roxey! I'm 24 years old and the the daughter of a Jamaican-Belezian immigrant. I was born in NY raised in FL and have been in Denver 7 years. I’m currently working as an Investment Advisor. Comedy is my NEEDED get away from the rush of the office. In my comedy I try to take on controversial subjects in lackadaisical ways. The goal is after every show hopefully we learn something from each other.
Ryan Ergo
Ryan Ergo has been writing and performing live comedy (sketch, improv, standup) in Colorado for the better half of the last decade. On stage, he likes to combine thoughtful joke writing with an upbeat and sometimes theatrical stage presence. He currently lives alone with his cat and runs a show in Denver called "A VERY KÜHL SHOWCASE."
Trent Gillaspie
Trent Gillaspie is a standup comedian who has enjoyed making people laugh all over North America over the past decade. Trent brings a sense of humor to the stage that is offbeat, deadpan, dry, witty, and offensive. He headlined the inaugural Denver Startup Week and was a Semifinalist in Denver’s prestigious Comedy Works New Faces Competition. Trent was the star of the Apple Insomnia Film Festival finalist, “Mr. Oddman,” and was a host for four years on 91.5 FM radio in New York. Trent’s passion for graphic design and his love for his hometown led him to create the Judgmental Denver Map. The viral success of over 50,000 views within a few days led Trent to create JudgmentalMaps.com to showcase such maps created for other cities. The blog was listed in Tumblr’s Top Blogs of the Year 2014, leading to the site being turned into a bestselling book (#27 on Amazon’s Best Books of 2016) that can be found in bathroom magazine racks all over the world.
Emil Kettle
Emil Kettle is a Jamaican-American stand-up comedian based in Denver by way of Houston, TX. With dry wit and unrepentant flair, Emil captivates audiences with tales of dating mishaps, the trials of aging, and absurd observations about his environment. In 2021 he performed at Skanfest South, now he resides in Colorado and can be found performing at the Improv and other clubs around the state. Emil also hosts a bi-monthly cannabis-themed show called Potty Mouths at Colorado's 1st Canna-Bar.
