Comedy Night in the Gallery
Laughter returns to the gallery here at Ironton on March 16th! Come check out this awesome lineup & enjoy a handcrafted cocktail and a delicious pizza.
Lineup:
Sam Ellefson
Sam, now based in Denver, is originally from a suburb of a suburb in Minnesota. His small - town naivety and "Minnesota Nice" attitude collides with this not-always-so-nice world to create whimsically hilarious stories and observations that will have you rolling in your seat. Sam started his comedy career in the Pacific Northwest with a parody late-night talk show in college that earned him 2 Northwest Emmy nominations. Since then, he has been a finalist in both the Oregon Comedy Competition and the Denver Rise Comedy Competition. He also regularly performs at comedy festivals and comedy clubs across the country. His recent web series "Gospel of Sam" was shown at film festivals all over the US and won "Best Web Series" at the Oregon Short Film Festival. He can recently be seen in a Denver Broncos commercial as well, but only if you watch very closely because his dog, a mini aussie named Oatmeal, stole all the screen time. Sam is currently touring to prepare for the filming of his debut comedy special in his hometown in March.
Jose Macall
Jose Macall hails from Denver's cavernous underbelly with an affinity for off-beat joke writing. His laid-back observations on an absurd reality have been spewed up on several noteworthy festivals and stages across the country. He can often be found in his natural nocturnal environment, broadcasting live on the 3 AM podcast or hawking humor at local dives and comic book shops in his endless quest to harvest laughter for a sinister purpose.
Andrew Scalia
Andrew Scalia is originally from a small town in Louisiana, but now is a stand-up comedian based in Denver. After coming out as one of them homosexuals at the ripe old age of 23, he knew he wanted to bring his tales from the closet to stages across Colorado. Andrew turns his trauma into triumph by poking fun at his conservative family, embarrassing memories from high school, and all that gay shit his dad doesn’t want to talk about.
Emily Cornelius
Too cool for a bio but she promises to make you laugh so that’s all that really matters, right?
